Other than being the editor of the Rubbing Pixels website and it's main contributor, Matt is a full time landscape photographer and teacher of the art. Matt shoots a combination of both digital and slide film on medium format panoramic cameras.
His goal with shooting and processing digital images is to match it to the colour quality seen in slide film. His tutorials work through this process, detailing every step in the creation, development and thought processes involved in making a shot happen and come to life from a RAW capture.
Matt's slide film work follows the same workflow of development in maxamising the high resolution drum scan for both colour density and also enhancing detail in shadow areas and highlights.
Self taught in both fields of capture and post production his tutorials are a combination of skills developed over 10 years and are an eye opener to the beginner or advanced photographer and photoshop user.
Matt is an accredited member of AIPP (Australian Instutute of Professional Photography)
