Forresters Beach Exposure Blend

Contributor: Matt Lauder

Length: 30.03

Added: 29/06/2010

Category: Masterclasses

A straight forward tutorial where we blend in three images with different exposure values (+ and - 1 stop) using simple masks followed by a workflow of adjusting contrast, tones and colour, removing colour casts in the sky until we arrive at the final result.

During the post production process we also monitor the brightness of various sections of the image to make sure parts dont go pure white.

This masterclass is an excellent introduction into blending exposures together and how an image should be broken down and edited using numerious layers so you have full control and ability to make changes to the image as it is developed.

The snap shot below is taken towards the end of the tutorial and you can see the amount of layers that finally make up the image.
